Jonathan Sigalet grew up in the Greater Vancouver area playing his minor hockey at the Burnaby Winter Club.  From there he would play a single season for the Salmon Arm Silverbacks where he would be named the BCHL’s Most Outstanding Defenseman at just 16 years old.  Jonathan went on to fast-track his schooling so that he could accept a scholarship to join his older brother Jordan for two seasons at Bowling Green State University in Ohio.  Following his second season at Bowling Green, Jonathan was drafted and immediately signed a contract with the Boston Bruins to begin his professional career.  Jonathan would go on to play 16 professional seasons split between the AHL, KHL, and SHL, with a single NHL appearance for the Boston Bruins in January 2007.  Retiring in the spring of 2021, his career was highlighted by an SHL Championship in 2019, two Champions Hockey League titles in 2017 and 2019 and multiple appearances for Team Canada at international events.

Jonathan joined Oates Sports Group in 2021.  He works closely with players at all stages of their hockey journey from minor hockey to the NHL providing on-ice skill development, video coaching and mentorship based on Adam’s core principles and philosophies.  He is currently working with players along both coasts of the US and Canada.
